All of this stuff is free. I know some of you all are into old things and most of this stuff is 20 years old. You will pay shipping if you want anything.
1996 Alsop Softride Suspension stem with a dampening cartridge. This is a good way to die.

Those old XT/XTR parts are just rad. And that Specialized fork? so sweet.
I might be interested in the Thompson seatpost, but not quite sure at the moment.

The tompson post is already spoken for, the BMC one is heavier but pretty good quality.
I really liked the specialized fork, I rode it for a couple of years before replacing it with a Marazochi bomber with 70 mm of travel. LOL remember when 60-70 mm was standard?

Both of the posts are 31.6 x 395 mm, the thompson one is spoken for already, sorry.

I am hugely interested in those shifters. I have an old hardtail with a 9-speed XT derailleur but an 8-speed shifter and cassette. The Avid cantilevers also have my attention but if someone else speaks up they can have them.
Those Spesh rebranded ODI grips are still the stock grips on 2020 Stumpjumpers.

I’d be interested in one or two things if they were available.
XT crank for one. MTB stuff mainly which I’m sure will go quick to people you know better and have been longer established on Oppo. You might end up structuring it so people have to take one of the clunker parts if they want a nicer one to get rid of some that.
Neat offer, thanks for doing this.

The 9 speed pod is wonky, just to let you know, I think if you cleaned it out it should work but right now it’s pretty sticky.

Everything in the photos is available except the thompson seat post. I’m just cleaning stuff out of the shop that I have not used is YEARS. S end me an email jbowland@yahoo.com.

Also I do not have a bottom bracket for the crank, I have no idea of the availability of octilink bottom brackets these days. They were getting rare when that particular bike went away. They are 175 arms and 9 speed chain rings.

You should look at the XTR brakes as well. I’m wracking my brain, but want to say the pull was only compatible with that generation XTR/XT. I’m going to have settle this for my own sanity. So expect a followup.

I could probably use the fork. I’ve got an old Schwinn frame hanging on the wall that needs a fork. What size is the steerer tube?

Sorry, fork is gone now.

That will teach me to ignore Oppo for the day!
No big deal. Thanks for offering to share!

I’m dumb, LX shifters + no levers attached. Double negative on brakes mattering in that equation.

I’m a little sore that I got rid of the 1995 trek 990 that the fork was originally installed upon.

I can give it a good clean out. Plenty of time in quarantine! I’ll send you a message in a bit.

Yeah they look like just shift pods which is nice. You are that the XT/XTR brakes of that generation were unique - they were V-brakes with a double pivot so that the pads were perfectly parallel with the rims. I don’t know if the pull was non-standard though.

Alright I’ll put your name on them.

I still have the avid cantilever brakes, and I think I might have a serviceable 9 speed cassette but I’d recommend buying a new one, if I have a cassette in a box it’s likely very worn

The XT and Xtr cantilever brakes use a normal pre-linear pull brake lever. They are compatible with the xtr or diacomp brake levers. I am having trouble finding the straddling cables for the XT and xtr brakes. It’s only been 10 years since they were on a bike.

I had a neat Raleigh that was just a bit too small for me. I made the mistake of selling the fork I bought to rebuild that frame with the frame. When I got the Schwinn, I didn’t have a fork for it. I had other bikes to ride, so I never got around to getting a fork for it.

I’m surprised you found a taker actually. Quite glad someone will be appreciating it.
